Standard Focus RS with Sitech Racing Inlet manifold

So we have finally fitted a Sitech Racing cast inlet to a standard Focus RS.
The car was a completely standard 1500mile example.
The RS was put on our rolling road first of all, where it produced 288bhp slightly down on the book power. We then fitted the Sitech Racing inlet and re-tested. The end results showed a gain of 12bhp, but the power delivery was much improved with the gain in power from 4000rpm right upto the rev limit, with a far less pronounced power drop off at 4500rpm.

Focus RS cast inlet manifolds are go

The pictures shows a development item. ie. finish is incomplete.

Over the last 4 months Sitech Racing has been developing a cast aliminum inlet manifold.

The manifolds are produced here in Scotland (none of your China stuff).

So a summary of the inlet - CFD designed with a 15% increase in volume to aid cylinder filling, a tapering design to aid air speed towards the 5th cylinder, the inlet will not explode like the standard plastic ones, the inlet is a direct bolt on with no modifacation required and comes with all fittings.

Simon Smail
